Jane Lenoir

Jane Lenoir, Flutist, appears as a guest artist on the song Rising on the Jazz Combustion Uprising album Self-Immolation.

Jane graduated from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. She has been the Principal Flute and Soloist with the Music in the Mountains Festival in Nevada City, California, and has performed with the San Francisco Chamber Music Society, the Mills College Group for New Music, the San Francisco Conservatory Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Berkeley Contemporary Chamber Players, the LA Museum’s Monday Evening Concerts, UC Santa Cruz Contemporary Music Festival, the Seattle Group for New Music. She has performed many world premieres of compositions, and can be heard also on Mode Records and Vienna Artists.

Her jazz CD “fluid” has been played on radio stations all over the U.S. and Europe. She appears frequently with her sister, clarinetist Annie Lenoir in jazz and classical concerts. Jane has explored many other styles, including Brazilian Choro Music, Persian Music, Armenian and Middle Eastern styles, and is currently working on a CD of World Music and Jazz which will incorporate these styles.
